Ode To My Birthday Pony

It's Hafl's 10th birthday today. For more than seven years now, he is a huge part of my life. And he has changed it for the better.

You might say he is just a horse but actually, to me he is way more than that. He gives my life a meaning, makes sure that I know why I drive to work every day, knows exactly what to do to make me smile, taught me to be more patient, showed me that you can reach anything with the right amount of persistence, helped me to become a little less of a weirdo, increased my social skills not only my riding skills, mirrors me every day, is there for me when I feel down, taught me that there  is no winning or losing but winning or learning, helped me through hard times, is my best friend, is the one that can cope with me, showed me how to push boundaries, taught me to accept limits but still ask for more, is the only one I leave my comfort zone for, is the owner of my heart, my once in a lifetime horse, my soulmate. I became a better person thanks to this short leg big belly pony, he showed me what we are capable of as a team, that no matter what others say you can reach for your dreams and grow a little every day. Step by step he takes me to another me, a me that believes in magic, that is so grateful for having the chance to share such a special bond. I cannot imagine what my life would be like without him and I am so glad I met him and he chose me as his human.

Thanks my little pony, you deserve way more than carrots for your birthday and words will never explain the gratefulness I feel for sharing special moments with you. Looking forward to many more years to come!
